What is the name of your business and where are you base? Nelson Tasman Tourism, in Nelson, but incorporating the Abel Tasman, Golden Bay and Nelson Lakes areas, through to Murchison and Buller.

What is your role in the business? International Marketing Manager

How long have you been in the tourism industry? I suppose it depends on how you clarify tourism as I’ve worked for the World of WearableArt on 7 New Zealand shows and 2 International shows. Essentially I have worked in travel trade for 18 months with NTT.

What got you into the tourism industry? A love for my region and country – as well as an addiction to travelling!

What’s your dream job?Full time beach babe complete with pina coladas, occassional volleyball game and a refreshing swim each hour.

What’s something most people don’t know about you? I was a semi professional rugby player in Asia for 3 seasons and I even had my own cereal box cards.

What NZ destination would you like to holiday in next? Why Fiordland – it’s on my bucket list as the final frontier in New Zealand. Once I’ve been there I can safely say I know New Zealand from top to bottom.

What do you think makes NZ the ultimate visitor destination?  The genuine, honest and friendly people – there is an absence of the need for fear of wariness as a traveller in New Zealand which is present when travelling in so many other countries.
