Weta Workshop’s Tourism division is growing. Fast. And that’s where you come in. A savvy sales superstar, as Tourism Marketing & Sales Manager you’ll come armed with the nouse and know-how to drive sales and grow business with the support of our hard-working Tourism team. A strategic thinker who’s right at home in a senior role, you’ll be as comfortable liaising with clients and customers at the coalface as you are with your nose buried in a spreadsheet watching those numbers skyrocket, Thunderbird-style.

Over the course of any given day you’ll:

  • Manage the planning and execution of all marketing activities and strategies for the Tourism team
  • Plan, develop, grow and manage Weta Workshop’s tourism sales channels
  • Manage relationships with our customers
  • Manage the tourism department’s marketing budget
  • Develop and maintain key industry and stakeholder relationships
  • Develop and implement a regular research and reporting program

We’re looking for:

  • Strong people management skills
  • An excellent communicator
  • Strong understanding and experience in developing Marketing strategy and execution
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with key domestic and international travel trade
  • Confidence with numbers (sales, costs, margins, stocks)
  • A keen interest/passion for pop culture/art/creativity
  • A sales driven approach

You’ll also have:

  • 5 years + experience in Marketing & Sales (preferably within the tourism industry)
  • Proven experience with developing, managing and growing a successful team
  • Well established, strong relationships with the international and domestic travel trade
  • Experience in Marketing and Sales within the MICE market
  • Proven ability to deliver results within tight time frames
