New Zealand Hotel Council (NZHC)
The New Zealand Hotel Council (formerly known as Major Accommodation Providers) is an Incorporated Society whose members include the international chain, independent, privately-owned and boutique hotels throughout the country.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand (previously ITOC) and the NZ Hotel Council was signed in July 2004 in Wellington. In 2012, the NZ Hotel Council merged with the Tourism Industry Association (TIA) so all communications with the NZHC are now done under the TIA umbrella.

In December 2006, NZHC and TECNZ released a document on Industry Terminology and Best Practice that was collaboratively written to clarify best practice guidelines and terminology used in the accommodation and inbound tour operator sectors.
