TECNZ Trade Event 2026 Showcases Strength and Innovation in New Zealand’s Tourism Export Sector
The Tourism Export Council of New Zealand (TECNZ) Trade Event 2026 officially gets underway today at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland, bringing together more than 400 tourism operators, buyers, and industry stakeholders over two days of business-to-business engagement.
Running on 22–23 April, the event has become a priority fixture on travel trade calendars as New Zealand’s leading buyer (ITO) and seller (supplier) event. It is the largest and most comprehensive opportunity under one roof for New Zealand travel designers to connect with suppliers, learn about new products and experiences, and develop itineraries for offshore markets.
Allied members are also leveraging the event to update and launch new offerings to inbound operators, attract forward bookings, gain insights into market performance, and capitalise on new business opportunities.
TECNZ Chief Executive, Lynda Keene, says the strong attendance reflects the value of the event to the industry. “It’s fantastic to see the TECNZ Trade Event underway with such strong participation from across the sector. These face-to-face meetings are critical for building long-term partnerships and ensuring New Zealand remains competitive in a fast-evolving tourism environment.”
Over the two days, attendees will take part in a programme of pre-scheduled appointments and networking functions designed to foster meaningful connections and drive new business. There will also be a YoungTEC education session on the trade distribution system and International Forecasts 2026-2029 and how Tourism New Zealand works with offshore trade.
The event serves as a platform for showcasing innovative tourism experiences, strengthening industry relationships, and enabling collaboration across the sector.
As the industry continues to build momentum, TECNZ remains committed to supporting its members and strengthening New Zealand’s position as a leading international destination.Top of Form
