Louise Woodburn appointed as Enterprise Dunedin Business Events Lead

Enterprise Dunedin has announced the appointment of Louise Woodburn to the role of Business Events Lead.
With over ten years’ experience in the business events sector in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, the Scottish native joins the Enterprise Dunedin team from her previous position as Business Events Executive for Development West Coast.
Ms. Woodburn’s professional background has included event planning, sales, marketing and travel coordination roles internationally, giving her an in-depth understanding of industry needs and trends. In Scotland she was an active member of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Convention Bureaux.

Ms. Woodburn says, “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Enterprise Dunedin team and I’m excited to work collaboratively with local stakeholders and the wider New Zealand business events sector to promote and market this great little city to domestic and international buyers.

“As a newcomer to the city I look forward to connecting with locals, exploring the city and beyond, and sampling the local food scene which I’ve heard great things about.”

Enterprise Dunedin Manager John Christie welcomed the appointment, “Louise has fantastic sector experience that will be of great benefit to Dunedin’s proposition as a business events destination and it’s great to have her on board.”
Louise steps into the role in late October, taking over from Nicole Carvell who left the position in June.
