Located on the edge of a Dual World Heritage site – ‘Tongariro National Park’, is Plateau Lodge. With a backdrop of the Tongariro volcanoes, our lodge has 25  ( Now 22) rooms covering a wide range of family friendly Two bedroom Apartments, King Studio Pods, Ensuite rooms and Lodge rooms.

Onsite is a Communal lounge & kitchen, spa pool, ( Delete) guest laundry, Wifi, Lunch & breakfast, massages room, transport to world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing and to the Largest Ski Field in NZ and 6 grade 3 Biking trails leading from our Village
Plateau Lodge is the perfect gateway to the Dual Heritage Tongariro National Park. We are just a short walk from National Park Village’s bus and train station. Our township has the following services, 4 Square supermarket, Restaurants, cafes, rental for ski hire and outdoor equipment.

Tongariro National Park
During summer and winter, Tongariro National Park offers spectacular views of all three volcanoes — covered with either glistening white snow or deep red volcanic rock.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy this beautiful Dual-Heritage national park. There is skiing on Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand’s best one-day hike – the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, the wonderful Tongariro Northern Circuit walk — one of just three like it in the world. Our famous mountain bike trails are suitable for all ages.
