Active Adventures appoints USA Marketing talent

Queenstown based tourism company Active Adventures has appointed Courtney Iannuccilli as Vice President of Global Marketing, a newly expanded role based in North America, as the company pursues international growth despite the challenges of Covid.

CEO Wendy van Lieshout and the Active Adventures board are delighted with the appointment.

“Courtney brings to Active Adventures a proven record of marketing success both in our main source market, the USA, and also globally.  She’ll play a key role in our global expansion plans as we navigate our way into the post-Covid world.” says Ms van Lieshout.

Currently the VP of Global Marketing at Collette, Iannuccilli also has a strong background in media and marketing agencies.  Her new role will be based in Rhode Island on the East Coast of the USA, leading the Active Adventures marketing team across various geographies and time zones, including the core team at Active’s HQ in Queenstown.

“It’s a whole new world for us having our Senior Leadership Team spread across various time-zones” adds Ms van Lieshout. “Covid has taught us that being flexible and adaptable gets results, so we’re embracing that with our people too.”

Courtney will commence the role on 7 June and is looking forward to rolling up her sleeves.  “Active’s style of travel is very popular, particularly now, and there’s so much opportunity for global growth.  I’m excited to be part of a team that’s so positive about the future.” says Iannuccilli.
