Entrada welcomes new board chair and independent director

New Zealand-based tourism and transport business Entrada Travel Group has confirmed two changes to its board, following the well-deserved retirement of chairman Graham Heenan.

Paul Bingham joined the board in April 2020 as an independent director and has now accepted the position of Board Chair. He is the current chair of digital marketing platform Shuttlerock, chair and shareholder of BlackCat Cruises in Christchurch, and director of Christchurch NZ. He has also served on the boards of Air New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand and Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism. Paul’s career has spanned marketing roles in a range of companies, and he has been based in Asia, UK and the US before returning to live in his hometown of Christchurch.

Kate Parsons joins the Entrada Board in May as an independent director. A qualified accountant with a strong commercial and financial background, she has held a number of CFO roles. Kate is now focused on advisory and governance roles and is a current director of Mainfreight. Along with her financial skillset, Kate brings strong knowledge in the areas of digital technology and strategy.

New chair Paul Bingham says “This is an exciting time for Entrada Travel Group. The company has weathered the extreme challenges of the last year, and is well positioned for future success and growth as the tourism sector moves towards recovery. We’re pleased to have secured someone with Kate’s skills and experience at this pivotal time.”
